Ann Guest

Mrs. Ann Guest is one of the GWMC Founders and a past President (2004-2006). Mrs. Guest is the director of Piano for Young People at Furman University. She holds a B.M. in piano performance from Furman, an M.M. in piano performance from Converse College, and has done graduate work at the University of South Carolina in piano pedagogy. She is a nationally certified teacher in the Music Teachers National Association, adjunct faculty member in the Furman Music Department, an active member in the National Federation of Music Clubs & GWMC, and sponsors the junior Greenville Harmony Club. She is currently the Vice-President of SCFMC, a Past President of the South Carolina Music Teachers Association, and a Rose Fay Thomas Fellow.

Stephanie HowellImmediate Past President

Stephanie Howell

Mrs. Howell holds the Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance and piano pedagogy from Converse College, and the Master of Music degree in piano performance and piano pedagogy from the University of Michigan. She has maintained a private studio in the Greenville area for over 20 years. She is on the board of the SC Music Teachers Association, and is the former SCFMC festival director for District II and immediate past President of GWMC. She is active as an adjudicator, and serves as a counselor for the Tempo, Melody, and Harmony junior music clubs.

Deborah Freeman

Ms. Deborah Freeman is the immediate past President and a Founder of GWMC. Mrs. Freeman holds a B.M. in performance from Limestone College and has maintained a private studio for more than thirty years, served as President of the Greenville Music Teachers Association for four years, and President of the South Carolina Music Teachers Association for two years. She is a certified teacher and adjudicator for the National Guild of Piano Teachers, SCFMC District I Festival Director, SCFMC Festival Financial Chairman, and SCFMC Festival Chairman. Ms. Freeman serves as Secretary of SCFMC, Counselor for the Greenville Harmony Club, the Greenville Melody Club, and the Greenville Tempo Club. She is a Life Member of the National Federation of Music Clubs and the Greenville Woman's Club, and a Rose Fay Thomas Fellow.

Mrs. Marsha Newman

Mrs. Newman is a lover of music and an active member of the Greenville Woman's Music Club. She brings smiles and enthusiasm to the world of music as she serves the members of both the senior and junior clubs.

Sherry Parrini

Mrs. Sherry Parrini strongly believes in music as a component of a well-rounded education. She has taught pre-college and adult students privately in Greenville, her hometown, for 15 years, and graduates of her studio continue to distinguish themselves in college music programs and other academic and professional pursuits. Winner of the 1989 GSO piano competition, she performed in Massachusetts, Maine, and South Carolina, recently in recital with violinist Kathleen Robinson. An active collaborator, Sherry has appeared in four-hand duo with her husband Fabio Parrini at Gunter Theatre and at the Greenville Woman's Club; she especially enjoys teaching and accompanying their children Maria and Sam, who study piano and strings Sherry chairs SCMTA's District I auditions and is a member of GMTA and of the Greenville Woman's Music Club. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance from Boston University, and attended Converse College and the Colby College Piano Institute; her piano teachers were Marilyn Brown, Ann Guest, Dr. George Lucktenberg, Scott Watkins, and Anthony di Bonaventura.

Ina Pegram

Mrs. Pegram graduated from Bob Jones University with a music degree in voice. She has nine children and two grandchildren. Mrs. Pegram maintains a private music studio with a full roster of both vocal and piano students.

Dorothy Kelly

Dorothy Kelly is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in organ. She is a nationally certified teacher in the National Music Teachers Association and has maintained a private piano studio for 35 years. She is Festival Cup Chairman for South Carolina Federation of Music Clubs and is assistant organist and pianist in her church.
